About Us

Prestige Institute of Management is an Autonomous, UGC NAAC accredited 'A' Grade institute. The Institute has also been accredited by NBA for MBA Course. It was set up in the year 1997 by Prestige Education Society, Indore registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860.The Society was setup by Prestige Group of Industries with an objective to meet the widely felt need for globally oriented Management, Law and Information Technology education and training for professionals. The Institute has grown to be recognized as a premier Institute for higher learning. It is a major learning center in Central India. The Institute has approval of All India Council for Technical Education & the State Government and is affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior. The institute is recognized under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. The Institute is a recognized Research center in Management of Jiwaji university, Gwalior.

Prestige Institute of Management, Gwalior is committed to develop Management leaders, Law Professionals and Information Technology experts through quality education and over all personality development programs. The students at the Institute are assigned team activities to develop shared vision, fed on case studies to develop analytical and presentation skills, guided to use quantitative techniques to identify opportunities/threats, grilled through continuous evaluation to develop the habit of bench marking, manage national level events to gain hands on experience, regular classes to build strong fundamentals, organize and attend workshops to get networked, present seminar topics to remain tuned to the latest, carry out research to help develop knowledge, assigned projects to develop project planning and control skills, undertake software projects to develop software development skills and interfacing, regular games and physical activity to develop physically and mentally strong individuals, undertake social activities (like blood donation, awareness generation an social issues, plantation, raising funds for the society etc.) to help society and above all are part of a culture that will ensure that they become caring and responsible human beings.
The rigorous development process has ensured high acceptability of the students passing out from the Institute. Placements of current batches and very senior managerial positions held by the alumni of the Institute are testimonials of the same. Institute’s Journey

  • The Institute was approved as Research Center in Management by the affiliating University, Jiwaji University, Gwalior, April 20, 2018.
  • The Institute was granted Permanent Affiliation by the affiliating University, Jiwaji University, Gwalior, August 29, 2017.
  • The Institute was considered fit to get central assistance under section 12B of UGC Act 1956 on December 22, 2017.

Placement

Infrastructure

Classrooms: The institute has well furnished, ventilated, and air-cooled classrooms. All the classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors.

Hostels: The Institute provides hostel accommodation separately for boys & girls with all the necessary amenities at no profit no loss basis. The locations of both the hostels are safe and well connected to the city by public transport.

Computing Facilities

The institute has the latest equipment installed in its computer lab to meet both present and future needs. In addition, the institute has provided free laptops to all the faculty members of the institute. Institute has become the member of Microsoft Academic Alliance, which supports the Institute by providing all the licensed software products of the Microsoft, Like MS-Office 2010, Visual Studio.net, Windows 2012 server, Windows 10, etc. In addition, computer lab also has other licensed software like SPSS 23.0, Oracle, Unix SCO 5.0, Orell digital Language Lab. The institute provides internet access through 55 MBPS Lease Line (with contention ratio of 1:1). The Institute has wireless access points to provide wireless connectivity.

Library

The Library holds a huge collection of printed as well electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, reports, case studies, conference proceedings, training manuals, etc. The Institute has well-equipped and spacious library with more than 18,000 books in print form, more than 8000 ebooks and reports on a large variety of Management, Information Technology and allied subjects. The library remains open for 12 hours on all working days. The library has a journal section; the Institute subscribes to 86 research journals including foreign journals. The Institute has subscribed to DELNET and EBSCO Host to provide 35000 International journals on line. A large number of newspapers and magazines are also subscribed for use in the library.

Seminar Hall

Institute has 2 Seminars Halls for expert lectures & seminars. The halls are equipped with audio-video technical aid.

Canteen

The institute has well-furnished canteen with a seating capacity of 100 students in which nutritional quality food/snacks are available

Transport

The Institute provides Bus Facility on demand basis for the students. The vehicles are the best-of-its-kind; pollution free & follow safety norms. Transportation facility is available in every corner of the city with modern buses.

Sport

The institute provide the facilities for various games like Basketball, Badminton, Table tennis, Chess, Carrom, etc.
